"She's elaborately constructed of hatred and bile."
- My son, describing one of his teachers
At least when they complain, they complain and entertain. I've often said that sarcasm runs in my family (Mom says I get it from my dad's side), and it's nice to see that not everything skips a generation.

He gets it honest, that's for sure. Someday, I hope to piss you off, just so I can hear what kind of snappy retort I would conjure in you.
He is soooo a teenager, isn't he?
As you've noted, it's a point of pride that we've raised kids as sarcastic and disrespectful of authority as we are.
I love the smart sarcastic kids, because they usually get my sense of humor, and I can usually assume that their parents are smart and sarcastic too.
The down side ... all those wonderful lies parents tell there kids just wont cut it with your little ones ...
ie. "when you hear the music from the ice cream van it means they have ran out" ...
"If you tell me the truth you wont get in trouble" ...
oh and the big one for when they are in there teens ... "It doesnt matter about the car, it only matters that your ok ..."
