This story has hangovers and food that sounds like the result of a drunken bet; of course it's from Scotland.
Two new sausages made with Irn Bru, a carcinogenically orange soft drink used as a hangover cure, have been introduced by a butcher in Scotland. The butcher claims that they are perfect for breakfast on the morning after a hard night of drinking. You have two choices for your aftertaste, the Original Pork and Iron Brew Banger or the more exotic Pork Sweet Chili and Iron Brew Banger.
Hoots mon! Finally, something new to throw up.

Any Mexican will tell you that is what menudo is for, especially the kind with lots of pozole.
the Original Pork and Iron Brew Banger
Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
Menudo (the soup, not the band) was a hangover-curing staple in the old days, as well as Mr. Submarine subs-- lots of dressing and banana peppers on it.
One night, I made the mistake of attempting a pre-emptive menudo assault on my hangover, eating it the night before. I showed up to work nearly doubled over in pain. When I told my busperson, Cornelio, who was Mexican, what happened, he laughed and told me that he could have warned me-- menudo in the morning, never at night...
I'm sticking with Bloody Marys.
Tripe? Good lord, I think I'd rather be hung over. I think I'll hang with Vikki and have an extra spicy bloody mary.
"Tripe? Good lord, I think I'd rather be hung over."
First, you've eaten worse parts of the cow (among other animals), when you ate a hotdog. Second, it changes the consistency. If there is anything Latins, from Mexico all the way to Italy, can do better than anyone else, is make tripe palatable.
Never stop drinking, it's the only way.
While I have eaten them, WP, I choose not to think about it. When presented with the choice of tripe soup or another vodka tonic, the choice seems clear: blame Dale and order another round. I forget who's up this time, but I think it's you.
